A layer is creating an "X" across the screen. I want to keep the layer but remove the "X".

There are actually two layers creating these "X"s. You can see what I'm talking about here: Mecha Mayhem Intro - YouTube

Does anyone know how to remove the crosses?

You have some 3rd party plug-ins running in demo mode.  You'll need to activate your license for them in order for the "X" to go away.  That is, you'll have to buy them and install the serial number.

From the animation, it looks like you're putting some Trapcode plug-ins to use.  It's a fun animation.

If it's not Trapcode, then it's likely Universe. Starting with Red Giant Universe 2.0 they removed the free tier (which wasn't anything special), so if you have a previous version of Universe, upgraded to version 2, and let the trial lapse, then you would get the X.

Hi ezkev,

Warren is right. You need to license the plugins for the X to go away.

Thanks,

Thanks everyone! Ok I purchased Trapcode but the cross still hasn't gone away. It looks like it's only coming from the Starglow effect.

Just for good measure, you should create a new comp and add Starglow or any Trapcode plug-in to see what's going on. Is your suite licensed and up-to-date in Red Giant Link? Do you have the license installed AND running on two machines at the same time?
