Help! LR has none of my photos!

Please help!  I just opened LR and found that none of my thousands of photos are there! None in the collections either.

I can't remember exactly how many photos I have but I have had LR for about 2 years.

What happened and what can I do to get those back?

Which exact version of Lightroom? (See / help / system info / )

Mac or Windows? Which version?

Sounds like LR may have opened a new empty catalog. Check the menu / file / open recent /

and see if your old catalog is listed.
