When I start up After Effects it crashes back to desktop. A pop up appears saying: "Adobe After Effects CC 2017.2 has stopped working."

It allowed me to view "Problem Details."

I ran Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and it didn't solve the problem.

Anyone knows what this means? Also how do I fix it?

I'm using a triple core and AMD Radeon. It's a 5 year old computer. I can't upgrade.

I downgraded to CC 2014. Everything is working great now.

Hi jacksoncurious,

Does it crash on the splash screen or after the app launches?

Which version of Windows OS?

Check if there are any logs at the following location:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\After Effects\14.2\logs

NOTE: AppData is a hidden folder, by default.

Thanks,

Rameez
