Photoshop CC 2017 is so slow and system crashed.

Hello.

I use Adobe Photoshop CC 2017 on Windows 7 64 bit. My system has 8 GB of memory and my CPU is Intel core i7 but when I open some photos for edit then my system become so slow and crashed. How can I troubleshooting it? What is my system problem?

Use windows features  to see what resources are being use. See if Photoshop seem to hang processing your preferences reading the info being displayed in Photoshop's start up graphic as messages. Review your Photoshop system Info. Make sure you system is up to date and you device drivers are up to date That the Photoshop updates are installed. Search the forums to see if other have you problem.

• Adobe product and version number
• Operating system and version number

You only posted a little bit of your Photoshop System info.  Even that much shows you missing the two CC 2017 updates post the rest so we can see if rest shows any other problems.

The Creative Cloud Desktop Application should be used to install the updates.

I do not know what you are writing here?  All Creative Cloud Applications are normally Installed and Updated by the Creative Cloud Desktop Application running on you machine.  That Adobe application downloads the software from Adobe's servers and installs the software one you machine.   That includes updates.

Use the offline installers then.  To Activate I think you may need to briefly connect to the web. I do not know if offline activation is possible check Adobe.com site to see if it is possible..

I just checked offline activation is not possible. You should not subscribe if you can not activate Adobe products.

I have not download the offline installers since CC2015.  When I did back the the update was downloadable I do not know about CC 2017 there have been two updates you do not have and CC 2017 has bugs like other Photoshop versions.

control panel/administrative tools/event viewer/windows logs/application and find the latest PS crash report

Go to the right and select "copy as text"

On windows it is very easy to find Application crash reports using windows reliability history viewer.  Type REL into Windows search the click on the search result to launch the viewer.  Browse till you find the Application Stopped working event. Then double click on that event to open the detail report.  I Posted thin in the beginning of this thread.

Will do, But I don't know why Photoshop used a lot of memory

Photoshop can be a resource hungry application and want to use all your memory it depends on what your doing in Photoshop. Also Photoshop does like most software has bugs.

You stated that your Photoshop Crashes and you also state that Photoshop Hangs.  So you have at least two different Photoshop problems. Posting your crash reports  may help identify what may be causing some of your crashes.   For your system hangs you will need to provide information about exactly what you were doing in Photoshop that caused Photoshop to hang.

You system Info also shows you missing the two CC 2017 updates please update CC 2017.

The 2017 version with the latest update is unbearably slow on my computer too. I fed up with all non working solutions here and there and I have returned to 2015.5. It works like a charm and it has all I need to do my work.

This on a Windows 10 Pro, with core i5 CPU and 16GB of RAM.

This is sad! The latest version is the worst ever.

Adobe has taken this all wrong. It has cramped its apps with stuff not of real use and it is using other tools that conflict with ones development (node js) that is. I think that I will push it even further back to CC 2014 as you.
