Hi, What is the fix to get the touchup tool to work. I selected it but I'm unable to edit the PDF in Adobe 9 Pro.

I moved your question to a more relevant forum, first of all.
What exactly happens when you attempt to edit the file using this tool?
Also, Acrobat 9 is quite old. This feature has been greatly improved in the newer versions, so you should really consider getting the latest version (you can't upgrade, though, because your current version doesn't qualify).

There is no "fix" that is required: The touchup tool either works, or it does not, and which one it is depends on the document you are trying to edit: If the document does not allow any modifications, the touchup tool will not work. You can find out if that's the case by opening up the document properties (Ctrl-D or Cmd-D), and then go to the "Security" tab. If there are restrictions listed, then that is very likely the reason you cannot edit this document. Also, if you have a scanned document, you cannot edit text with the touchup tool.

Thank for both responses. It created a blue box around the document portion you select and it shifts the text when you typing.

When you say "document portion", do you mean the whole page? If so, that's an indication for a scanned page.
