I have an old project profile in word (actually several).  Recently, we have refreshed our branding and created a new template in InDesign.  Is my question- is there away to import the data from the word document into the new InDesign template?  Currently, we are copying and pasting everything, which is as you imagine quite time consuming.

I was just wondering if InDesign has this capability?

Thanks!!

You can place the contents of the Word document into an InDesign file using File > Place.

I was looking for something more along the line of a merge or mapping.   Is this possible?

I think you're going to need a much more detailed description of what you want to do.

I think maybe this is more about "Show Microsoft Import Options" (Preserve Styles and Formatting ... etc)

Could be, Derek. I'm still unclear on the intended workflow.
