Can't use Acrobat Reader Pro DC, goes straight to Acrobat Reader and tells me to download the Pro version!

Why do my PDF documents keep going to the Acrobat Reader DC reader instead of Acrobat Pro DC? (Mac)  How do I make Acrobat Pro the default for all PDF files?

Thank you!

If you have Acrobat Pro installed, why do you have Reader installed? It is totally unnecessary since all the functionality of Reader is in Acrobat Pro. Uninstall Reader and your problem will go away!
