HI I have use of my desktop PC which is where I have been creating a book in the book module of lightroom, on my laptop If I install lightroom and sign in using my creative cloud, will I be able to edit the same book in the book module?

The idea is to flip flop between workstations, PC and Laptop creating and saving the same book module file, however all the files are stored on my desktop drives, which then sync with the cloud as I regularly edit photos on my iphone 7.

It would be necessary for you to have access to the master files and the book project on the laptop computer. These cannot be accessed via the cloud. The easiest way to do this would be to have the catalog containing the book module and all of the images associated on an external hard drive that could be switched between computers.

Ok that sounds sensible, would I also need to save the book file to the portable hard drive also?

The book module is contained within the catalog. But if you have created a "saved" book I think that would have to be on the external hard drive as well. However, I have never created a book using Lightroom. I have always used other software to do that in the past.
