ok. done.

you just have to open PS and clean the palette immediately before! creating a new document. when creating a document the palette stays clean.

That top strip keeps a record of recent colors you have used.

If you do not want it, uncheck "Show Recent Colors"

Any other method hides the problem temporarily, it does not fix it.

Henry, for another time, I personally would prefer you to use hyperlinks rather than URL shorteners like tiny URL.  That way we can resolve the link by hovering over it.
