Converting to symbol - layer problem

I give up, I checked everything I can check. I can be called a beginner in some cases but this problem of mine just popped out of nowhere. help.

This can happen with imported Illustrator files that using masking. Is it from Illustrator? Would you be able to put your FLA online somewhere for me to look at it?

Hey Colin, thanks for the support. It wasn't actually, it was made from scratch but I fixed it though, turns out that one of the three layers i wanted to convert to a symbol was already a symbol. No worries now, thank you really, let me know if there's any survey that I could do.
