Just purchased PSE 15 to replace PSE 13 which had various issues. V disappointed to find unable to import images (JPGs) from Nikon D500 or via inbuilt card reader. I am using a iMac Retina 5k with Mac OS Sierra v 10.12.5. Looking for easy solution or will be asking for refund because experience over last couple of years suggests PSE and Mac are not compatible.

Hi Anthony,

Sincere apologies for this inconvenience you've faced.

Request you to please try out the workarounds mentioned at this link : Elements Organizer does not recognize some devices | Mac OS 10.11.x

Also see as similar post Elements: Organizer's photo downloader doesn't import the photos (Mac) | Photoshop Family Customer C... and check if any of the suggestions mentioned there helps.

Please let me know your findings. I would be glad to assist you further on this.

Thanks,

Arshla

Thank you for responding, whilst waiting for a reply I found and uploaded the latest update to PSE 15 (I never expected a new release such as PSE 15 to require an update for such a fundamental issue so soon - perhaps Adobe should advise new purchases to ensure they update after loading PSE 15?) initial tests suggests this has solved the problem. I will keep my fingers crossed as my experience with PSE 13 showed that it can work (reasonably) well for a while then develops problems - don’t really understand why this happens.

Regards

Tony
