Lightroom 6.6 adding effects on import, which I can't remove

Lightroom 6.6 is adding grain and de saturation to all my images on import. I do not know why. I've checked import settingS and there are no pre sets checked. I've tried importing the same images to my mac book pro and this doesn't happen. So there is clearly an issue with my desk top mac, but I can't figure out what. I've tried restoring default settings but it still applies the the grain and the de saturation. HELP PLEASE....

Are the Basic panel Saturation and Effects panel Grain Amount controls set to something other than 0? If they are both at 0 then you have some other issue.
