converting PDF to MSWord using Adobe software. Some words are on top of each other?

Hi just purchased Adobe software to convert PDF (created by exporting InDesign file to Press Quality PDF) to MS Word. Every few lines a few words are on top of each other. How can I fix this?

Thank you so much for your response!

Eventually I highlighted the entire document and changed it to unformatted text - then once I had a "clean" version in MS Word, I went back and formatted it to resemble the original document.

I suspect the issue was with the original text which was copied from Google Doc into Adobe InDesign. I think the author had formatted some of the text with publishing software and it was embedded in the script.

Please try once to export PDF online here: https://cloud.acrobat.com/

Check if it works fine or it gives you the same result.

Could you please let us know the exact steps you are using to export PDF.

Is it an issue with particular PDF? Try to replicate the issue with other files.

Of course all very frustrating in that the whole purpose of this exercise was to upload to Amazon Kindle a book created in InDesign... took me days to figure out it's not doable! Somehow after spending hours creating a beautiful book in InDesign - to convert it to MS Word seems nuts!
