Hi dear,

I'm newbie on Android programming

and want to display an indd book file on my Android app

with page numbers, index and styles

(I mean text and paragraph fonts as bold, italic, underlined and colors).

Note: There is a few picture in the indesign file.

Could you recommend any method please.

Thanks for your interest.

Hi bilalharun,

As there's no direct option to open INDD file on a mobile app, you can try the option suggest by Aman. "Publish Online" will let you preview your document as it should in InDesign. Here's a link with details: Use Publish Online to publish your InDesign documents

Om

iOS can show PDF files "out of the box" but not Android. If your layout is reasonably simple, you could export to HTML and show that using built in functions.

Thanks for your reply.

I tried this method with WebView but could not find

     - page numbers in style.css or html files

     - and not show my fonts, bold, italic, underlined and colors styles in the app.

I could see the pictures.

Or look into a third party PDF display conponent Because you want font control. Any other local method also runs into complex, perhaps impossible, negotiations for font distribution rights -- unless you're happy to design with Google fonts.
