How to re-edit a committed distort transformation?

Hello,

I'm using PS cc.

GOAL: To create a distortion of a layer (Edit>Transform>Distort>) and then to copy that distortion to a new layer and make minor adjustments to the distortion on the new layer.

PROBLEM:  Once I commit the transformation, the distortion handles disappear and I can't figure out a way to edit the distortion on the new layer by dragging the handles around because they don't show up once the transformation is committed.

I have hundreds of layers that will need the variations of the distortion.

Any help?

Thanks,

Kirk

Maybe you could Edit > Transform > Again on the other layer, and then Edit > Transform > Distort on that for the minor adjustments. You'd have to Transform > Again all the layers first, and then do all the tweaking.

I Like it.  Good idea. I was hoping for a solution that would allow me to simply drag the handles to new positions (Like in After Effects) but this idea can work.  Thanks.

Try taking screen shots before committing?

A bit tedious, but a pretty solid solution. Thanks.
