Can you invert a white image on black background to make a brush?

I have a white star image I created on a black background. I would like to make a brush out of this image. Is there an easy way to invert the background to white and the star to black in order to create a brush via EDIT > DEFINE BRUSH, using Photoshop CS6? Thanks.

As you describe your file, just go to the Manu Image > Adjustments > Invert
