When I export via Add to Adobe Media Encoder Que  as h.264 1080p the file exports as a video that plays only black. When i export as Add to Render Que the exported video works. Any idea why it is not working with Adobe Media Encoder?

Thanks.

Because the background color is only for preview purposes. Whether you have it set to black, white, or a vibrant sea blue, as far as AE is concerned, there is nothing actually there. Thus, when you set it to render, it renders it as black (or as an alpha channel if your format supports it).

It's a bit confusing. If you want a color back there, just throw a solid or a shape layer set to whatever color you need.

Whats the color of the composition Background?

when exporting via media encoder, the background will be always black , so you need to create a new solid ( white solid for example ) and send it back in you composition then Render it in Media Encoder.
