I am really struggling with this document. Ultimately it will be 98 pages long. What you're seeing in the front and back pages. But right now both pages are Master A and when I add more pages, it doesn't add the boxes on the right, just a blank page. Can anyone help, in simple terms...I'm very new to this. Thank you in advance.
Hi,
You need to double click on the A-master page shown in the pages panel that is visible in the screenshot above.
When the page opens, add your boxes and black background to it. Currently your A-master is blank.
When you are done, you need to again come back to your document page by double click. Then when you add pages, your pages would have A-master applies with boxes and black background.
But since you have already designed one of the page i would suggest you right click on that page(page

Hi,
You need to double click on the A-master page shown in the pages panel that is visible in the screenshot above.
When the page opens, add your boxes and black background to it. Currently your A-master is blank.
When you are done, you need to again come back to your document page by double click. Then when you add pages, your pages would have A-master applies with boxes and black background.
But since you have already designed one of the page i would suggest you right click on that page(page 1) and then choose "Save as master"
You would then have something like B-master added to your pages panel. You can then add more pages to your document and drag the newly created B-master over those new pages.

98 pages is a strange, uneven number, you might be better with (say) 100 pages. Check with the printing company.

96 would give you 12 sigs of 8 or 6 of 16 if it's going to a large press.

You have to set up your document correctly as document with facing pages in the size of a single page.
And why should it add boxes? When you add a new page it is always the same as the master you have used and it is blank.

You've set the dimensions of your page to the spread dimensions, so the printer will not be able to impose and bind the document.
Set the document up as Facing Pages with the Width and Height set to the book's trim size. Then your Pages panel will show 2 page spreads (2-3, 4-5 etc):
