I seem to be getting constant crashes with after effects at random times such as: Opening a file, leaving the window and returning, rendering out compositions, cashe reviewing.

System all Updated:

              Intel 6700k i7

              GTX 1080

              16 GB RAM.

              Windows 10

Have tried several solutions such as:

     - re installing

     - watching hardware monitors for spikes when the crash happens

     - adjust ram settings.

Any ideas or possible solutions would be appreciated

Have you updated to the recent update? AE version should be 14.2.1.34

Try turning off (or, if it's already off, try turning on) the "Hardware Accelerate...Panels" option in the preferences.

I got the same problem if you want to resolve it temporary you have to disable Nvidia  Geforce GTX on the : Computer Management ===> Device Manager ===> Nvidia Geforce (Right Clic and disable device)

But Adobe will work slowly and even if you update the or reinstall the Nvidia driver the probleme still the same...
