Documentation for the book module?

Is there any documentation for the book module that describes the process of creating a book from start to finish? I am making my first attempt to create a book and the information I have found via Google has not helped. For example, I cannot find a way to create a page of text and control the font size and text layout. Thanks.

Google finds that there are several examples created by Adobe, and many created by others.
