Have you been successful recovering lotteleibniz's document?

Same shit happened to me!

Btw: never happened in Quark X Press. They have always saved a "Saved File" to the Mac Desktop.

Hi chromacom2000 ,

did you try to open the document after restarting your Mac?

Was that document saved to a Server volume or to a volume of your machine?

Regards,
Uwe

Hello Uwe,

Yess i try it to open after restarting and it was saved on my mac.

Was very strange cause nothing was working for a half day or something and than was it back.

I tried several things like restarting so that indesign could recover, fixing temp files… nothing worked out.

Was was scared cause it was an important  and big File.

But after a while 4-6 hours  it was there again like nothing happens… like a server recovery or something like it… but i saved at on my mac??

Regards

Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,

if you answer by mail to this open forum do not include personal data.

Do you have a TimeMachine backup of the file?
I would recommend running TimeMachine doing backups every hour.

Or you could work from e.g. a paid Dropbox account folder where restoring older versions of everything stored there is no problem.

Sorry, but I cannot help further restoring your important document. Let's see if Srishti srishtib8795206 is stopping by…

Hope, she can help you on that.

Regards,
Uwe
