Hi everyone,

we have found a bug about importing excel charts to inDesign. Specifically, this bug cause the chart ( in inDesign ) to lose color, font, dimensions, etc. when we modify data in the source excel file.

Any suggestion?

Also, generally speaking, is there an easier way to automatize data transfer from an excel ( or other user-friendly kind ) source to our indesign catalogue?

I assume the issue you’re having is with a table, not a chart.

Version of ID. Version of Excel. Operating system. Would help.

Version of spreadsheet (XLS or XLSX). First troubleshooting would be to save as whichever one you’re not using.

Are you placing a formatted table or are you formatting in InDesign?

When you update an Excel table in InDesign any formatting you've done in InDesign will be lost unless you're using table and cell styles.
