FTP problem - 530 error

I cannot publish my site from muse using FTP. I keep getting the "530" error, indicating an authorisation problem.

However, my dreamweaver FTP connection works fine with the same information (see below)

This is driving me crazy. What is the problem?

Hi ingewertwijn,

I see just a very small difference between the credentials you are putting Muse vs Dreamweaver.

Please see the user id - in Dreamweaver the first letter is in upper case whereas in Muse it is lower case.

Do make this correction in Muse and see if it gets connected?

Ankush

Incredible! I did not know that userids were capital-sensitive. Thanks!

Glad that it helped, and yes, user id's are also case sensitive and generally they are preferred to be in lower cases especially for web projects.

Cheers,
