My organization has AEM and AEM Forms, but my team is having a hard time working out practical uses. It's all well and good to design a form for end users, but how can we share user's inputs with other systems? If 500 customers request a widget be mailed to them, we should not have to re-key their information into an order-taking system; we should be able to access the data using an API, a web service or REST endpoint, etc. The order taking system should then be able to change the form status after the widget has been mailed.
What if the widget isn't free? We'll need to collect money and update the form status after the money has been paid.
I haven't found any guides, manuals, examples, etc. that would help me undertake this sort of work.
Suggestions would be very much appreciated!
