Help!!! Gray boxes upon importing into Lightroom 6.

Help! I've been working all morning on a wedding. The portraits are fine, but when I import pictures into Lightroom 6 I get a gray rectangle instead of the quick view picture that is normally there. Lightroom 6 is up to date, nothing has changed on my hard drives/external hard drives. It was just random. I finished my details folder and saved as normal and then... this!

(I've already talked with tech support, they said I just needed to update Lightroom...I did try, but I'm already up to date.)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
