Nobody can tell you anything without exact system info or other technical details like exact version of AE, footage used, comp settings and so on. just saying that it crashes is of no use to anyone.

I´ve get the same problems when using Quicktime movies in AE version for Windows. The way I solved this is to render the footage as a Image Sequence, importing this image sequence and use the camera tracker again.
