I need to edit the URL in all the hyperlinks of a pdf (sometimes up to 20 or 30 links). I'm trying to batch edit them. Can this be done, or do I have to edit each link individually?

It can't be done in batch in Acrobat. However, it is possible using a stand-alone tool, like this one I've developed: Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Batch Edit URL Links in PDF Files
