Exporting as EPUB

I could scream. I have completed a  200+ book and I cannot get it ALL to properly export as an ePUB. Specifically, if I have a table with the type vertical, it renders horizontal.

I have used the font helvetica Neue and have several paragraphs where I bold just the first line and the rest of the paragraph is body text in Regular. When the ePUB is rendered, the typeface has changed to a different one and it is all spread out.

I have tried to outsmart it on both issues and cannot figure it out.

Everything exported perfectly to a PDF.

Can anyone help? I have spent all day trying to fix this.

Presumably you're exportIng to a Reflowable text ePub 3.

Have you assigned Paragraph (and Character) styles to all the text?

Which readers and devices have you viewed the epub on?

Have you validated the ePub and seen any issues listed?

You need to export as 'fixed layout' ePub. Be aware that not all devices support fixed layout.

What version of InDesign? What epub reader? What are your epub export settings?

Are you under the impression that exporting to EPUB is somehow the same as exporting to PDF?
