Easy way for sliding over logo

Hi!

So I am trying to get a simple animation of some sort of "slider" going over a logo, and inverting the color with transparent.

Basically the logo is only White + Transparent, and some invisible "slider" is going over from one side to another, and wherever it covers the logo, it inverts the white with transparent and the transparent with white. You've probably seen this effect before, I don't know if it has a specific name.

So my question is if there's any quick trick to doing so that you know of/can suggest me.

Thanks in advance!

1. Layer > New adjustment layer

2. add effect: Channel > Invert to the adjustment layer, set the effect channel menu to alpha.

3. add effect: Generate > Fill to the adjustment layer, set the colour to white, or to taste.

4. animate the position of the adjustment layer moving over your logo.

Note: if you want to put stuff underneath this you will need to precompose the layers:

Select the adj layer and logo layer.

Layer menu > Precompose

this could be done using Track Matte :

draw a rectangle on top of the text layer then animate it the way you want To slide.

then click on " toggle switches / mode" button at the buttom of the time line or press "F4"

and select "alpha matte" for the text layer.
