InDesign CC 2017 - Won't open new document

I am currently running InDesign CC 2017 on my brand new laptop. The new 'Start' screen shows up but I'm unable to open a new document...the dialog box to enter document size etc. does not show up, nothing does. The program does not crash nor is there an error warning, it just won't open.

Problem solved after I did the update!
