2. Re: Site Map/Diagram in Dreamweaver CS4?
Dave_Evanson Oct 25, 2008 3:12 PM (in response to Dave_Evanson)Thanks for the reply. Is there any alternative way of displaying something similar?
I did use Dreamweaver some time ago (version 3 I think) and thought it was a good package and am looking forward to using it again but it’s a pity they dropped such a useful feature. -
3. Re: Site Map/Diagram in Dreamweaver CS4?
Newsgroup_User Oct 25, 2008 3:16 PM (in response to Dave_Evanson)the site map in previous dreamweaver versions didn't have near the features
of the golive site map view.
Most people use the Files Panel and hardly knew there was a site map view.
So my guess is instead of putting effort into upgrading a little used
feature- it was dropped.

4. Re: Site Map/Diagram in Dreamweaver CS4?
Timberwolf42 Mar 19, 2009 2:07 PM (in response to Dave_Evanson)I somehow missed the survey about how many people were using the site view in GoLive. It's indispensable. Can I expect flowcharts to be removed from Encore as well? These are two applications that are built around navigating objects, be it menus on a DVD or pages on a web site. Not wise to remove this. I really would like to know how people are getting a good snapshot of their sites now. I am having to use Visio now to do it. That means that I have to recreate what my site looks like and link to the different pages. GoLive did that for me and I could test out all the links just like Dave_Evanson seems to be looking for in CS4 as well.
I understand using the files panel to all of this, but nothing can replace an overview like a site diagram can provide. I remember it being one of the very first things we covered back in an HTML class that I took. So, what does it take to request it to be put into Dreamweaver?
