Distortion of elements in my layout

Just today this problem started, I am in the latest version of CC. I have not updated any software recently. As you can see InDesign creates odd distortions to the type and other times I get large colored boxes overlaying my layout. As soon as I increase or decrease the view size these go away but then return when I do something else to the layout. Thanks for any help.

It may be a screen redrawing issue. See if it makes any difference by turning off (unticking) GPU performance in InDesign Preferences under the GPU Performance Tab.

After I posted this problem it never happened again, till this am. So I am going to finally find out if that works....

yup, it went away instantly as soon as I unselected the GPU Performance. Thanks!
