I use to use live cycle designer to build fillable pdf's, now we have adobe acrobat dc and I cannot figure it out. I have a pdf "form" that has some fillable sections, I need to change a name in a place that is not fillable normally, but I keep getting an error that says I have to use live cycle designer to edit it.

Files that were created using LCD can only be edited using it. Acrobat can't edit such files.

And since LCD is no longer bundled with Acrobat Pro you will need to purchase it separately, or re-create the form using Acrobat.
