You need to give some details so we can try and help.

What operating system?

What version of Photoshop?

What type of video clip (e.g mp4, mov etc)?

Also a couple of screen snapshots of :

The timeline dialogue when you click at the top right of the clip.

The layers panel showing the clip:

I am having the same problem. When I select a video clip (layer) in the timeline window and click on the upper right 'arrow', I don't get the video/audio popup, just the "motion" popup. See attached screen clip.

I am running Adobe Photoshop CC version 20170425.r.252x64 under

Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, service pack 1, running on a Fujitsu Lifebook 902, Intel Core i7-3540M with 16 GB of RAM.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.timeline_video-clip_1jg.png

Hi Jim

Look in the layers panel

Is your clip a video layer or a smart object. If it is the latter you will need to open the smart object, by double clicking in the layers panel, to adjust the level.

Thanks, Dave. That worked.

My video layers were not 'smart objects' but they were grouped in the layers pallette. I didn't realize you could select and edit them there, outside of the timeline window.

Much appreciated.
