I just downloaded a trial version of Lightroom for the Mac. When I open it, I am forced to import pictures into a library. After that, I see the same screen - no photo editing tools (like in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements). When I click on the 'Develop' Window, it shows me how the program WOULD work, but doesn't provide any tools. I have to conclude that the trial version simply shows a potential customer how to arrange their photo library - not the prime reason I'm interested in the software. I may be missing something, but in fact there are very few menu options.
The trial version of Lightroom is fully functional for seven days from the time it was first installed. You must be signed in to the Creative Cloud with your Adobe ID and password in order for it to function properly. Are you signed in?

Thanks. I launched the program last night without doing anything differently from earlier, but it appeared with my name on it and apparently full functionality. I'll give it a try in the remaining 3 days or so, not an auspicious beginning.
