Syncing between devices

I have downloaded Adobe Digital Editions on my iMac and authrorize it. I also downloaded ADE on my iPad. But the books do not sync between the devices. Is there a syncing function for ADE?

The sync-function do not right work. At moment seems only work between mobile devices and desktop version only for ePub files.

Why don't they fix it? My book cost me $40! I am not happy.The only ereader it words in is ADE. I need this book to be on my tablet as well as my PC.    Would sending it to the Adobe cloud work? Would that allow it to be shared between devices? Please help, this is really important.
