Windows 10 support was added to Acrobat XI in version 11.0.12 - this means that you need to update your installation from anything older than that before it will work reliably.

I'm not seeing this mentioned here: Adobe Acrobat system requirements ... What makes you say it's only compatible starting with version 11.0.12?

I never rely on the system requirements posted on the product level: Sometimes they don't get updated when the actual functionality changes, and sometimes they get updated without reflecting which version they actually apply to. The release notes (as long as they are available) are the only sure fire way to tell what's supported and what not.

I suggested to some Adobe people a long time ago to create a simple page where one can enter their OS version and select an application (like Acrobat), and then get a complete list of all supported versions of that application on that OS, and vice versa... It's a really simple solution for so many of these compatibility questions we're getting here. Shame it was never implemented.

It's not mentioned in the list of supported operating systems (see: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/system-requirements-old-versions.html), but that doesn't necessarily means it won't work...
