Acrobat - Link to Network Folder - Stops Working in SharePoint

Here is my situation:

- In the .pdf document, I created a link to a network folder.

- This link woks just fine when I have it saved to my computer.

- When I post this document to SharePoint, the link no longer works.

Do you have any suggestions regarding how I can rectify this situation?
