How to create a new document in Indesign with 300 dpi?

InDesign is a page layout program which does not have an inherant resolution in its files. The only time that resolution comes into play is when raster images from Photoshop are imported into a file. 300 dpi (actually ppi—pixels per inch) images imported at 100% size would be considered high resolution.
