Overflow glitch in Glyphs panel

Has anyone else been getting this issue with the glyphs panel?

The content flows behind the scroll bar and appears to sit outside the confines of the panel but cannot be seen.

For example, when I resize the panel, the reflow of glyphs does not follow the size of the panel.

This is driving me crazy.

I've deleted the InDesign prefs multiple times and it persists.

Running MacOS 10.12.5 and the latest install of Indesign CC 2017.

Any help you'd be very appreciated.

Thanks,

Nick.

Sometimes glitches within panels can be fixed by trashing InDesign's caches.

To do so:

For Macintosh Users: With InDesign closed launch a Finder Window in column view and click on your home folder. With the Option Key pressed choose Library from the Finder Go Menu. Within the Library folder find the “Caches” folder. Within the Caches folder find and delete the entire file “Adobe InDesign”. I find that deleting the cache file completely leads to a lasting change.

For Windows Users: Follow the path

Nick, which technique did you use? They keyboard shortcut or manually locating and deleting InDesign Defaults and InDesign SavedData? Try the second approach.

Hi Barb, I was locating it manually in the Library folder. No luck there.

Thanks though.

Bill, deleting the cache folder worked a charm.

I can go back to being (slightly more) sane now.

Thanks a lot.

Slightly different problem: can't scroll in Glyphs panel. Mac 10.12.6, two different computers. I can reduce the size of glyphs displayed (using the "little mountains" control), and eventually find what I need. But scroll doesn't work.

Tried the above cache deletion trick to no avail.

Is this a known bug?

Hi,

Yes this is known intermittent issue.

Do you have any steps that can help me reproduce the issue always?

To resolve it, please delete or rename both cache and preferences. Troubleshooting 101: Replace, or "trash" your InDesign preferences
