In the updated LR program I cannot find the slider to change number of images to look at  on the screen. I can only see 3 or 4 rows of 8 pictures.

use keyboard shortcut key "T" key to toggle  off and on the toolbar which shows the thumbnail size slider. Also another helpful tool is the command + forward slash key to show keyboard shortcuts menu.

Thanks Randy, the "T" key works, but the command + forward slash option is strange because I cannot use the esc. key to close that shortcuts window, or find another option to shut it off?

...ok, I finally see that just clicking on the panel itself makes it disappear.
