How to format word to PDF book for upload

Hi, I am trying to format word to PDF book for upload to a website, using indesign. (i could use another tool) Does anyone have a guide on how to do it.?

Hi cota,

If I understand your query you want to import text from word file and then edit it in InDesign and then wanted to export as book into PDF. If yes you may follow below mentioned steps, for details click the links mentioned next to each step.

• Import text from Word . (Importing text from Word to InDesign without having to re-format - YouTube  and   Add text to frames in InDesign )
• Edit text in InDesign (Edit text in InDesign )
• Export to PDF (Export InDesign files to Adobe PDF  and Create printer spreads for booklet printing in Adobe InDesign )

A thought: first think about why you don't want to use Word. Word with Actobat Pro is the simplest and often best tool for making web PDFs from Word documents.
