In trying to using the Index functionality, with a WebHelp Pro project, the keywords are selecting the correct topics, however the topics are not in alphabetical order, which makes it difficult to find the necessary topic.

Is there a way to make them appear alphabetically?

Thanks,

Christi

Hi Crhisti

If you look at the Index designer inside RoboHelp prior to generating, are you able to right-click and choose "Sort"?

Cheers... Rick

Rick,

There is a sort option - but, the sub-menu options are greyed out.

Just as an update... the index list is in order. It is the pop-up that appears when you click on an index word... where the topic list shows... that the topics within the project are shown in random order.

Thanks,

Hi again

Have you examined the topics linked to the keyword? Are they appearing in the same order in which they are linked? Or are they totally out of whack as compared to the way you see them in the Index Designer?

Cheers... Rick

Rick,

In the Index tab, the topics appear in alphabetical order at the bottom of the window.

If comparing to the ToC, they are not in that order either.

They "appear" to be showing in the order in which the topic was related to the keyword.

Hi again

Can you share some screen shots depicting what is wrong? Contrasting examples?

If so, I think that would help a lot.

Cheers... Rick

Rick,

Wasn't sure how to paste the shots in here... emailed them to you.

Thanks!

Rick,

Did you have any updates on what the possible issue is - based on the emailed files?

Thanks,
