upgrade not all photos are in the new version

5I have just upgraded from lightroom 5.7 to Lightroom CC. In 5.7 I had around 8300 photos in CC I only have around 5700 I also notice that I now have no photos which I have rated 4 and 5 stars Can anyone explain and help me get all the photos into Lightroom CC

Sounds to me that you have (accidentally) opened the wrong catalog file.

Please search your hard disks using your operating system's search feature for all files whose name ends with .LRCAT. Then double-click on each one to open it in Lightroom to see if it is the catalog you are looking for.
