Hello everyone!

I heve a large stream of scans in which you need to delete the background. It is required to automate the process of smart selection and subsequent background removal. I ask for help if anyone knows the method of such automation.

Below are examples of scans before and after processing.

Thank you in advance.

You can try File>Automate>Crop and Straighten Photos

You may have to run it twice if you scan has two different colored backgrounds your trying to remove like your provided sample does.

You could make an action that selects the two images in the scan, inverts the selection and then delete. (But it's also destructive. You could also just change the selection into a layer mask, which is non-destructive.)

However, using elements like selections will be exact so I would suggest aligning the scans in the same manner. (The scanner should have measuring marks so as to make this process easier.) Alas, it sounds as if the scans are already done.
