So I did a search on this already and it told me to go into users and my name and delete the lightroom catalog.lrcat.lock and I did this. Well, nothing changed.

When I open lightroom a mesage pops up saying that LR is already open in another catalog and to choose another catalog. Not only does this pop up, it pops up with a new lightroom tab every two seconds. Before figuring out how to force quit all of them, I got up to 50 tabs of light room open. I need advice and fast. Light room is my go to for editing photos and I have a shoot to do this week!!! Thank you in advance.

The answer, I believe, is in the very last post at this link-

Lightroom spawning multiple copies of it self

1. Backup your catalog

2. Run the Adobe CC Cleaner Tool to un-install and remove ALL detritus pertaining to Lightroom

3. Download and do a fresh install of Lightroom

The Adobe CC Cleaner tool can be found here-

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems
