moving text and image

Have a problem with in design. Just loaded and cannot move text and image when placed or copied onto page

You are a bit stingy on some pretty important details.

What OS? What version of InDesign?

Is it the same issue as in Can't move objects InDesign Mac on Sierra ?

If Jongware's suggestion doesn't work, and you have an operating system compatible version of InDesign, try resetting your InDesign preferences:

Close InDesign. Then hold down Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or Cmd + Ctrl + Opt + Shift (Mac), and relaunch InDesign. Respond in the affirmative to the dialog asking if you really want to replace the preferences.
