If you can walk into a MicroCenter store here is what I consider an excellent starter system for $1300.

      • Intel Core i7-7700K Processor 4.20GHz
      • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5X VR Ready
      • 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM
      • 1TB HD + 250GB SSD
      • Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
      • 24x ASUS DVDRW Drive
      • Multi-in-One Memory Card Reader
      • 10/100/1000 Network
      • 802.11ac Wireless

      My comments/suggestions

      • Easy upgrade of memory to 32 GB, two open slots
      • SATA SSD for OS/Applications
      • Open M.2 PCIe Gen 3 X4 slot upgrade connector for Project files M.2 SSD upgrade.  And, yes I have been assured by Asrock that with one graphics card using full x16 lanes that the M.2 connector has full PCIe Gen 3 x4 connectivity even though the i7-7700K has only 16 PCIe lanes.(Z270 chipset over the Z170 version)..
      • 750 watt PS EVGA Bronze--well you can't have everything
      • USB 3.1 10Gb/s 2-ports
      • Only 4-core CPU
