Weird thing happening to application

Has anyone ever seen this happen before? I uninstalled and reinstalled and it still happens. It will sometimes take up the who light gray area. It started happening prior to updating to High Sierra Beta.

Few questions:-

Which version of Lightroom are you using?

Does it helps if you uncheck "Use graphics processor" under Lightroom Preferences>>Performance tab? See Adobe Lightroom GPU Troubleshooting and FAQ

Do you see this problem working with every image and where are the images located on your computer?
