As mentioned above, you need to be running Lightroom 6.12 to open 6D Mark iI Raw files.
You'll never be able to open those Raw files in Lightroom 5.
Alternatively, download the free DNG converter, convert the Raw files to DNG format then edit the DNG files (not the Raw files) in Lightroom 5. An extra step for you but no extra cost.

Cameras supported by Camera Raw
The 6D Mark II was first supported in Lightroom 6.12 (current version).
Which version of Lightroom are you running?

I recently purchased a Canon EOS 6D mark ii. I been out shooting a couple pictures now and then. The issue occurs one suppose that important images to lightroom. Lightroom won't import any of the images and just tells me that an error occurred. According to the creative cloud app that is displayed in the top menu bar on the Mac. I have the newest version of lightroom which is "version 2015.10.1 With Camera RAW 9.10.1" which is kind strange. According to the Adobe website, they released an update to solve this issue. But my Creative cloud app does not recognise any updates to download.
I don't know if it have to do anything that I'm using the Swedish version of Lightroom, If they need to "translate" the solution or so on.. no idea. But please provide if you have any updates on the issue. I really would like to import my images and start my process

What version of Creative Cloud Adobe Application Manager are you running? Version 4.2.0.211 was released on 07/31/2017. Go to the gear icon and check to make sure that you are running this version. If not update it, sign out and then back in and try to update Lightroom again.

I sort of managed by my own hand. It ended up by me being so mad so I reinstalled the whole bunch of adobe apps. AND! When I restarted creating clothes and logging in, a little button shine towards my face that said update Lightroom so now everything is sorted out (Y) guess I just had to reinstall everything. Sounds convenient

What do you mean by nothing?
Do you understand that the DNG converter batch converts folders of Raw files to DNG format?
You then edit the DNG files (not the Raw files) in Lightroom.
